Programmes
The charity delivers a programme 'Educating youth in social action' that helps provide internal structure & order to youths struggling to survive in chaotic spaces and
communities. A number of formats ranging from 3, 6 and 12 session modules are available. All our modules:
- provide a reflective space to explore their choices and responsibility to act and enable them to change their own behavior, attitudes & outlook & interrupt the flow of automatic reactions;
- involve an encounter with Survivors of genocide. This point of encounter provides opportunities to show where the extremes of violence & conflict can lead.
- create opportunities for them to apply empathy - concrete actions & behaviours – in real world situations through
- a. developing positive peer relationships
- b. mentoring, model social action
- c. volunteering create ties within the community
Currently we are providing programmes through mainstream schools identified as having particular youth violence or gang issues, through the Youth Offending Services, Triage and through Pupil Referral Units.
