About the Event

Most of us need tools and skills to deal with the tensions, disturbances, conflicts and challenges presented by trauma and at the same time to reconnect with the wider context and maintain awareness of our inner orientation.

You will be gaining an understanding of the effects of trauma

You will be mapping out conflict situations, identifying points for potential transformation

You will learn to frame connections within the wider context

You will gain strategies to connect and engage with your clients beyond

the reactive states engendered by their trauma

This module will focus on:

The developing mind

Developmental variations between childhood and adolescence

within the normal family life cycle and the dynamic risk factors

affecting it.

The impact of trauma and witnessing violence on young people’s

mental health and behaviour

Your inner orientation

track your own feelings as you interact with your clients’, their

conflict situations, family system and wider community

reducing burnout
